Projects

With the companies’ engineering capability in house, we are always asked to undertake specialist project work usually associated with the cleaning industry. However in the past we have done a wide spectrum of work in a variety of industries.

Previous Work/Products
  1. Boat Trailer
In 2009 the company was approached by a local boat builder, familiar with the company’s ability in the agricultural and fabrication engineering fields, to produce a hydraulic powered lifting boat trailer. The trailer is capable of lifting 12 tons to a height of 4ft. The photography below illustrates the arduous job it does.
  2. Bespoke Slatwasher
In 2008 the company took on a project to wash 8ft x 4ft ground boards used at events such as music festivals and car boot sales. The process had to be totally automated and allow a one man operation. Our design team implemented our already successful ‘Commando Rotawash’ and added an automated stacker on the output and reception on the input. Since this machine was installed the company has invested in other unique slat washing machines for their unique products, proving the success of the initial machine and our commitment to after sales service and care.
  3. Bespoke Slatwasher
In the spring of this year our projects team was approached by Rolatrak a company based nearby, at Lingwood, looking to improve their existing slatwasher in order to wash their unique temporary floor panel system. Using our design concepts from the ‘Commando Rotawash’ we fitted a higher pressure pump and two of our high speed rotors feeding four turbo nozzles.
  4. Ministry of Defence; Vehicle Wash & Water Recycling System
During 2005, Hugh Crane Cleaning Equipment undertook its biggest single project to date, which involved installing an eight bay military vehicle washing system with inbuilt pump house and water recycling capability. The project involved bringing together different sub-contractors and skills to produce a high quality effective build.
  5. Farm Vehicle Wash & Water Recycling System
On a much smaller scale but for another of Her Majesty’s interests we designed an agricultural wash system with cleaning bay and water recycling system for Sandringham farms.
  6. Hydramist Prison Cell Extinguishers
Over the past twelve months we have been developing and building approximately three hundred machines for a company called Fireworks who specialize in fire suppression systems. They needed a mobile machine with its own supply of water to use in prison environments. With our broad skill set we were able to modify a market leading machine to exactly what they required.
